Plans and limits

Seika charges businesses; the people who book appointments never pay. Every business starts on the Basic plan, which is free and does not ask for a payment method. When you need more appointments, more team members or more features, you can move to a paid plan without losing any data.

What each plan includes

Prices, each plan's limits and the features it includes are always up to date on the plans and pricing page. There you also see which features are marked "Coming soon": they do not exist yet, so they are not included in any plan or sold as an add-on.

Where to see your plan

Only the business owner manages the plan. If you are the owner, open "Plan and billing" in the business menu. There you will find:

  1. Your plan: which one it is, its status and the dates that matter (renewal, end of the trial or a scheduled cancellation).
  2. Plan usage: meters for the cycle's confirmed appointments, administrators and employees, with the usage written out as well as shown in color.
  3. Active add-ons, if you have any.
  4. Plans and Add-ons, to subscribe or change.

If you are an administrator or an employee, the screen explains that the plan is managed by the owner and takes you back home.

What counts as appointment usage

The appointment limit is measured on each cycle's confirmed appointments:

The cycle depends on the plan. On a paid plan it starts on your billing anniversary. On Basic it is the calendar month, in your business's time zone.

What happens as you approach the limit and when you reach it

When you are close to the appointment limit, Seika warns you with a banner and in the notification center, and invites you to upgrade your plan or buy an add-on.

When you reach the limit, new appointments cannot be created or confirmed. The ones that were already confirmed are honored as usual. If the person trying to create the appointment is not the owner, Seika asks them to tell whoever manages the plan. To keep receiving appointments you can upgrade your plan or buy an appointments add-on; see the Add-ons topic in the manual.

If a payment fails

When a charge cannot be completed, the plan shows "Payment overdue". Meanwhile, new appointments cannot be created or confirmed; the ones already confirmed are honored as usual. Update your payment method from "Plan and billing" and, once the charge goes through, everything returns to normal with nothing else for you to do.
